    Default New Years goals

Well with the new year tasty approaching I though I would like to see what are some of my fellow fishermans goals. Me personally I would like to fish as many new waters as possible. I get tired of beating the local waters to a froth and enjoy the new scenery. Second I would like to learn long lining fishing from creekslick. I have had the pleasure to learn trolling jigs from Luvpt and blue thunder, single pole from cmj and crappie pro, and crank baiting from brm. Let's hear some of your wishes for 2014!

    #1. Don't sink my boat
#2. Don't lose my outboard in the lake, (again.)
#3. TRY not to break any rods out of frustration at my poor fish-catching abilities.
#4. Place GPS device on CP's Dark Angel.
#5. Finally get RCC to admit that he is not the line-tangling, non-fish-catching, loser that he claims to be.

And last, but not least: #6. Hate less, love more, and remember to thank God for every second I get to spend with family, friends, and His beautiful creation.

JW I have some of the same goals. I want to long line this year and will have 8 poles set up for it. I have found in the last 2 months that I always have a seat to fish in central ar. Living in Jonesboro our fishing water is limited unless you fill the tank up twice. Greers is 1 1/2 hour from house. The big four in MS are also1 1/2 -2 hours. Central AR lakes 2-3 hours. Looks like I will be running some gas through the tank. Plan on doing more wading so if anyone wants to go wading in MS this year with me, let me know

#6 Is a dandy that I need to remember more often.
#5 Is absolutely true...Just think back a few months .....Where do you see a purple turban, drift socks tangled so bad they are running in front of the boat instead of behind, a person striking so little fear in the fish, that the fish just follow the boat around to have some shade, with no fear of being caught....and this was one of my better days

I sure would like to get on the water more often in 2014.

Fish more waters is a good one for me too guys.
Convince Gindog , more is not always better when buying tackle.
I'll try to make time to fish with more folks , always learn something from those you fish with.

I thought that was just part of your strategy. After all, It put a nice slab in the boat.
