Don, is that the rod you fish with me and the one you won big fish?
Josh was right about the backbone in this Light action rod. I have used this rod on 3 trips now and really like it.
I think you will too.
Great product

God Demonstrated his love for us. Romans 5:8
I've been trying out two of the 7 footers also.
I agree!
Quality built throughout - Cork handle, quality slick eyes, carbon fiber blank. Great rod.
Thanks, sounds interesting. I really like my Rainshadow RX7 rod I got a few years back and will probably get another one of them. It's one piece 7'6" blank so by the time you add the handle it's close enough to 8' and has great backbone also, but think the next one will be the RX8 since it's the same except a little lighter weight. Both are ML action with a Mod Fast tip. Ever since I got this rod I have just wanted another one. I was hoping maybe his was a little longer. Everyone that sees the one I have then wants one. A couple of friends got the same guy to build them one each, but I think he quit building rods so will need to get someone else, but my neighbor has someone in mind that we can get to build a couple of these blank from Baston. They actually call them inshore/popping rods, but are perfect for crappie to me.
What method are you guys using these rods, longlining, shooting docks, etc. ??
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
Is hie 8' going to be one piece? If so I would sure like to try one? Heck maybe he could offer that rod blank I like so much as a finished rod? Batson makes the blank. I have the RX7, but want the RX8 very bad.
