my bother showed up this moring for fishing and he had bought some crickets yesterday, and when he showed up at 6am this moring they were all dead, not a single 1 moving,,,it was 38 deg. here...well about 930am I seem 2-3 kicking a little...it got so windy we left and I told my bother not to throw out the crickets, when we got home the sun was shining on them and within about 10 min.s every cricket was running around not a single dead cricket....never knew they went into Hibernation ...guess never to old to learn something new,,,going to try and go out again this sunday... we had crickets this moring because we can not find any shrimp, not sure what happen to them

Crickets like it hot. And will go lifeless in the cold. If the dont freeze you can warm em up and they will come back. Set em in front of the heater in the truck and they wil be good to go when you get to the ramp.

Crickets will do a lot better if you feed them an orange slice. Why? Because they get liquid and sugar from the orange.
