Default Beautiful day, good crappie bite

Mid 50's with no wind, so I gave it a shot. A little rain, but I kept my float tube under a bridge and had a blast!

I have a bait casting reel on my L action spin rod with markers on the line to give me a exact depth of where my jig is.

Almost Thanksgiving, and the water is cooling down here in PA, water temp 52 near surface. The crappie are staying deep.

I caught about 50, and kept 10 for fillets. Medium size, 8" to 10". Best lures were a Trout Magnet chartreuse, a home tied chartreuse / white marabou jig, and a Gulp Alive minnow.

    Tight Lines,

I fished yesterday too. The water temp at my home lake was 43*. The rain held off for the first 2 1/2 hours, so i got some prime fishing in. Since it was my last day out, i kept a limit. Most were over 10" with a few big ones mixed in. Got them hang gliding jigs over brush in 16ft, 12ft down. Started raining so i called it a day. Putting the boat away but i might do some shore fishing til we get ice.

From the picture I think I know exactly what bridge and what lake but I won't tell! Nice to know they are in there like that! If I ever see you there in a float tube I will give you a boat ride. I am usually in a 16' Lund by my self!!!

Nice fishing for this time of year. It about time to start snowing up there.
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

I have had some super days under the bridges, even my personal best. Sounds like a good day.
