Default Question?? Do any of you fellows have the Hummingbird

581i combo?? and if so how do you like it? bought one last week and really like the performance of it for under $200, I don't keep up with electronics so this may be a item Hummingbird doesn't make anymore... sure like the gps part of it......

Be glad to go along with you to make sure it is accurate at finding your beds/brushpiles if you need me to. That way I could give it a better review. Never had Hummingbird units yet!!! Going to rig the new boat up with the new 1199 and 1159 Birds.

See there you go, I buy a damed old 500 and they done up to 1100's, I pretty slow at catching on, most of my stuff is 6' north of a wooden ramp, but they move them ramps in and out all the time, so be hard to say where the stuff is at.......

Not much difference in the units Monty other than screen size and side scan/down scan. Looks like the reviews on the 581 are pretty good. I bet you will like it. Will save having to use the hand held after you get your waypoints put in there.

I like all hummingbird stuff! I am sure that 581 will do real nice. I did the 898 a couple years ago and like it just fine. Got to play with the big 11 on a trip a while back and felt like I was cheating! Thing is real nice. I think with electronics whatever u have learn it well and don't fish with a buddy that has bigger and better haha

Buffalo the guys I fish with still use a rock tied to sting to see how deep the water is, so easy to keep ahead of them.........
