Default Biggest crappie ever for me!!!!

I don't generally initiate posting on my fishing outings, primarily because, well, I guess I'm not that good of a fisherman.....every time someone else says they went out and caught a limit in about 2 hours, I'm that guy who burned through a tank of gas and caught nothing but dinks or totally skunked!!!!

But, by golly, I have something to post today!!! We went to Watkins Mill this morning for a bit to just get out for a while before the wind came up and started howling out of the north. We caught the usual Watkins Mill dinkeroos, but that was what we went for and then, I hooked what I thought was a bass....except it wasn't a bass!!!!

I know many folks have caught huge crappie, many bigger than this one and I enjoy seeing the pics and hearing the stories. I always said I would think about having a mount done if I caught anything bigger than 15". My largest one to this point was a 14 1/2" at Smithville and to be honest, I had no idea I could catch one almost 16 inches at WATKINS MILL!!!!!

I say in the spring, we include this lake in the Smithville Tournament Stop.......we could go with the quickest limits......smallest fish....largest fish.....and have some fun doing it! What say you, JoeDog??????

At any rate, here are a couple of pics from this morning, stay warm!!!!Name: big crappie 1.jpg
