Pulled a couple of crankbaits this morning for the first time ever. Was fishing at Lake Tuscaloosa. Caught 4 and all were keepers. Largest was about 14 inches.
Question tho: how do i get cranks down deep? I only had a couple that are sposed to run 2-6 feet deep. I need to reach down 20 feet or deeper.

That's when you need some 2oz & 4oz weights. Then you can maintain the speed necessary to get the reaction strike, and still get your cranks down to the depth needed. With cranks that run that shallow, you'd never let out enough line to get down that deep without extra weights.
