GPS, SmartCast, WeatherSense are the features availible for Matrix units. Plus, you can upgrade your unit by hooking into your computer. They were supposed to have a Side Finding transducer availible but I don't see one availible.

My vote goes to Lowrance LMS332. I think the unit is awsome. I've used Lowrance, and many others but my heart belongs to Lowrance.

I have two Humminbird units on my boat. I have the Matrix 17 with the addition of GPS. This unit works great and is easy to use. For the money you just can't beat it.

You should also take a look at the Eagle line, the 480 works great for me. It's affordable, and made by Lowrance at a fraction of the price.

I like the the Lowrance and Eagle products. The 332c, 102c are great graphs from Lowrance. and like Gabowman said the Eagle 480 is a great graph too.

Lowrance and Eagle all the way. Got one of each. Fishmark320 eagle and X97 lowrance. Both are awsome units. CF
