    Post Update on Sardis trip

Well, me and the guys who usually put on this get-together have
had to make a painful decision, but it is looking like we MAY move
it to Pickwick, this time at least. There has been talk of maybe pulling
a gravel bar camp, or maybe the public campground at Rose Trail
(AL side of Bear Creek) Sorry if this has inconvenienced anyone,
I sure wish it were not so :o I will post more as soon as I know it,
    maybe next week.

How about Bay Springs? Seems that the rest of the regular crew
has decided to wimp out - ten year tradition down the drain there.
But I will say (or think) no more of it.

I called, the campground (Corps of Engineers) is open, not crowded,
and it should be pretty nice weather if the showers don't sneak in.
It is calling for partly cloudy Friday and Saturday with a chance of
scattered showers on Sunday. Lows in the mid-forties, highs around
    70 - good camping temps :D

The fishing, I don't know about - went there yesterday, and caught a
bunch of small bass, few catfish and stripes, and a monster Gaspergou :D
Thought sure I had a good flathead till he surfaced. 24 pounds.
Only caught a few smaller crappie, but I think they are already making their
way down towards their winter hang-outs - 6,000 plus acres takes awhile
to narrow down when you haven't fished there lately

Anyway, come on over and we'll make the best of it - pretty lake and
nice campground. They have water and elec., showers w hot water,
and fish cleaning house. Nice boat ramps/piers too. They did say bring
either check or correct change though - can't take plastic.

I'm gonna go Thurs evening, stay till Sunday. All are welcome, give me
a shout at 662-416-5246 if ya need directions or anything. Jeff
