I use the exact same thing , only I make a couple x with 2/4s about 2ft apart, should work!
Here is my new design for a crappie condo. I learned about this on the internet. A fellow had a swimming pool that he put crappie in. It didn't have any structure, so he threw in rake or hoe and before long, all the crappie in the pool were schooled around the handle. Sooooooo...if this works as well as the experiment in the pool, I expect all the crappie in the lake to be on this in a week.
I would have done it in pvc so I could drag cranks over it, but I know the fish don't like plastic as much as wood.

Hmmm...I'd like to know if that works. You know how many of those you could churn out in a short amount of time?!?
"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 25:15
If you have several of those in a row, you have made the same as a fence line. I always catch fish on flooded fence lines!!
Could drill holes in two of them...run pvc through them 5 or 6 sticks...have someone drop from front and someone from rear of boat and have a fence....might be fun dunking it evenly though.
Although you can't hardly beat Agrihawg and his kids boo buckets.

Be easy to fish as they would be close if they use it. Look at the time you'd save fishing big brushpiles to find a needle in a haystack Crappie.

I see you have been reading my plans. I may have finished it today, but worked at the church. If the weather holds tomorrow, I'll try to get it finished then. It will be interesting, but probably not as good as AgriHawg and company bamboo. I'll explain my thinking once I get it together. The concrete is really slow setting up. I do have a few more traditional buckets to drop.
