    Default Need some soft lead

I am experimenting with pouring my own jig heads. I need some soft lead to pour. I remember a member had about 100 ingets of lead that were sold here last year or so. Just wondering if anyone has some lead they ould like to sell. Let me know. Thanks in advance.

Bob I get mine at Bass Pro but it expensive. I tried led wt. that is used to balance tires that don't work very good.

The best thing I've found is some of the lead strips in the walls of Xray rooms when they tear em out. I gotta find more myself. Agreed about the tire weights. Its like they're a lighter density lead or something

Thanks guys! I have tried lead mixed with tire weights and the mixed alloys do not seem to work quiet as well. Also need to figure out how to drill a 1/32 hole to make it into a 1/24th on my mold.

Bob did you look at YouTube? I saw a guy w a video that used an end mill and a drill. Seem like it was a Weiss lake guide who posted.

Hey Bob, I see you are in Madison. I obtained some from Tennessee Valley Recycling in Decatur. Give 'em a call and see what they have.

Thanks all who gave me some suggestions and help on this one. Found a source and have what I needed, now I just need to find some time to play with the new lead.
