Default Split shot weight for spider

What size split shot do you use for spider rigging? 1/4 oz? 3/8 oz?

Depends upon the depth and how fast I am moving.

I use egg sinkers from 3/8 - 1oz depending on depth, speed and wind. I don't use split shots for rigging, but I suppose they would work.
