    Default Is there a way to edit the title of a thread once it's been posted?


    Was wondering since I made a mistake earlier.

    And just made another typo in this one!!!!!

    Yes...go into edit and at the bottom of the screen click advanced and you'll be able to.

    You have approx. 30mins after posting, to make corrections. After that time period, a SuperMod would have to make the edits for you.

    Can't you just delete the whole post and start over? That's what I've done on other sites.

    Not once the 30min time limit has passed. Once that time limit has been reached, only a Mod or SuperMod/Admin person can delete/edit the whole thing. And even the mods can only "soft delete" the thread, for liability reasons (according to Admin.)

    That's why it's always a good idea to proof-read what you've typed, before you submit your message. The "Advanced" button allows you to edit the title, as well as the message ... and also allows you to review what your post will look like, which is especially helpful when posting pictures in your message post.
