I have one and it is good and clear. I have not used the DSI or GPS as of yet. In time I will work with them.

Look in the sponsors classifieds, Brian at BBG will give as good a price as you will find.

You can get some sweet deals over at the sponsors classified. I got me 7 hdi and have not got on boat yet
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

I have one and have used it for about 6 months now. Mine came with the "Gold" chip from West Marine. The 2D and DSI both work well and I like that you are able to "overlay" them. Also love the many different combinations of 2D/DSI/GPS that you can choose from.
The GPS mapping always seems to lag while "reading" the chip as I move. I just got a Nautic Insight HD 2013 East chip and the speed and detail of this chip is (IMHO) much better then the Navionics Chip.

If I had the chance to change my decision and get a different machine I would again choose the 7HDI.

Hands down one the best bang for the buck units out there. This thing is amazing, just get your speed over 2.5mph for the best pictures. It shows the trees standing up with it's limbs and laydowns on the bottom. Saved the best for last it shows the fish in the timber and schools of shad. 2D sonar now is like an 8 track tape player compared to HDI. It's 7 inch screen is nice and bright. Bmacks76 pull the trigger with Brian at BBG marine you will not regret it!
