Last Thursday Morning Tourney

The Cataract Slab Masters held their last tourney for the season this last Thursday. It was a wet, cold, tough day. Started off in a lite shower and when it quit the temp just tanked. The bite was slow, everyone had to work for 7 fish to weigh in. But we all did it and Jim and Teresa S. came in 1st place with almost 4lbs of fish. Congrats to them. At the close of this tourney we also awarded the Club Champion to Indiana Slab Masters own Randy Hooser with 37lbs of fish in 11 tournaments. Congrats to Randy, now the sponsorship endorsements should start coming in. The 31st of Oct we will hold our Classic and then that will be it for the year. If anyone is interested for next year shoot me a pm. Had a great time, we had about 40 different people fish with us this year and averaged about 7-8 boats each time. Most people were older retired people who got to fish a small, cheap tourney with their grandkids. It was a chance that the kids got to fish a tournament with grandma or grandpa real, real cheap. It was also a chance for a couple of old buddies to get together and do a little fishing and win enough money to pay for gas (if they add $25). Hope to see you regulars and some new faces next year.
