I haven't ever really used minners until the last year & that's just a few times depending on where we are fishin.
I sometimes hook em in the tail or through the eyes so I was sure how you were doin it, they may die faster
if they are gettin dragged backwards However we have pulled some before & it seems like after 45 mins if they
are still on there they are dead.

They will last longer if you hook them thru the mouth from the bottom up.

I guess times are hard all the time then..................

Russ, you can longline them with minners or without or just add a nibble or wax worm or what ever extra piece of attractant you like. Minners never hurt any bait. Guess that's why so many tournaments are won with a minner on the end of a multitude of different jigs or just a plain old hook. As for life of the minner, I agree on hooking up thru the bottom lip and out the top lip as straight as you can to help it track straight. Those heads track pretty darn good. I have used them over 1 MPH just as good as crawling along at .2. Let me know if I can help.
