Default Kayak Trip Report, Barron Fork

I made a final trip into Barron Fork for this year.Fished 6:30AM till 12:00 today. There was almost no water left, the deepestareas were only 18 inches deep max. I targeted any visible cover with a singlepole. Every stick, branch or stump in 12 inches or more water would hold atleast one fish. I caught a dozen small bass, more little gills then you cancount and lots of Crappie. I kept a limit for the freezer, tossed back dozensof short fish and several keepers once I limited out. The bait didn’t seem to matter, they hitanything. Photo’s later when I clean fish.

If you haven’t made a fishing trip yet this fall, getoff the couch and go! Light winds, cool temperatures and the fish are hungry.
