    Default Main posters?

I've noticed that in the individual "states" message boards SC/NC/LA/VA and GA have alot more posts than most other states. Why do you suppose this is? I'm just curious. Is it because these states have more bodies of water that hold crappie?...or more crappie fishermen/women?

My opinion would be... what you said about bodies of water... if I'm not mistaken most of the records are caught in the staes you posted. These states are known for large crappie and good numbers, also our mild climates are condusive to fishing year around. Although there is a forum on here for the ice fisherman.
This only my opinion, but nothing you can say will change my mind. That makes it a FACT.

I think it has a lot to do with the amount of water we have, but it is probably more the fact that we like to talk and many of us post replies to most of the posts created on our board. and several of us post on other state boards also.
One thing i noticed is that some states have several people from their boards that do most of their posting and repying on the main forum, so it don't calculate on the state board. most of us post it on our state board and link to it from the main board.

There are those that don't post and then there are those Speck fishing that are not even on this site. Florida has a lot of folks Speck fishing on a lot of different waters but probably very few on this site or even on a computer in comparison. For the Florida board its probably like the above quote by jlaughlin72.

i live in the state of washington. and around here crappie is almost on the bottom of the pole comapered to other fish (mainly salmon, trout, other salty fish, some bass guys). heck, some people don't even know what they are. i think the main reasons for this is.....

1.) not as many crappie as down in the south

2.) they arn't as big as down in the south

3.) people around here are basicly brainwashed from birth to be slimer fisherman
    fishing isn't a sport, it's a way of life.

It may be the number of good lakes for crappie fishing like we have here in Ga., but on the other hand Alabama has even more lakes and probably better fishing but very few posts. Go figure.
