If it hits as hard as they say it will slow them down for a couple of days. If you go just slow down & lighten up!

It's going to cool the water off more rapidly and the fish are going to love it. You'll probably notice that all the critters in the woods will be a bit more frisky.

It will only help the crappie, its mainly the high pressure systems that slow the crappie this time of the the year.

Default Give it a couple of days to calm down

We'll get it worse than you, being farther north. Water temps here are already in the low 60s, and the high winds predicted wlil serve to cool the water further.

It will put them on the move for sure so the bite may be tough for a day or two but if your surface temps are still in the upper 60s or lower 70s they should come shallower and get a lot more aggressive with falling water temps.

Sunday the water temps were still 71-72 I was catching a few fish in the 10-14ft range but most were to short. Anyways I went ahead and signed up for a days vacation Friday so we will will give it a try. Thanks for all the quick replies.
