I have a bass pro shops near me here in Harrisburg but instead of buying some new rods from them I was wondering if any of our sponsors of this site have some fairly cheap 14 foot rods for sale? Something with a reel seat and guides for spider rigging?

I was in wally yesterday and they had some west point model rods by BnM for around $25 each and liked the action. Most low end rods I have handled are too soft in the lower and middle sections for my liking. These would have done well trolling jigs and cranks also.

Check Grizzly Jig. They have some Fire Cast 14 rods in Glass 2 piece pretty cheap. 3 or more reduces price some.

I don't know who makes them. They maybe a exclusive to Grizxly. After I did that post I went back and checked my catalog to make sure I didn't miss speak. They are in there with their crappie commander poles. They are a composition graphite fiberglass pole. Best thing is to call them and anyone who answers the phone can help. Really great people to deal with. Those poles are the only cheaper poles I have found in 14 ft glass.

My point was about the rods to help narrow the search. Sorry if I seemed to steer towards wally, they don't know we exist.
