    does anyone know where i can find out how to rig a slip bobber? or can you guys help and give me a good application for this. thanks!

    I use them all the time. They are a pain to rig. But I feel they ar worth it.

    ...you don't need all those "doo-dads" shown in that article...just buy a pack of cigar-shaped crappie floats from wally world (97 cents) and tie a piece of rubber band around your line...been working for me for over 40 years...

    Just like Bushrod said, you don't need a lot of fancy doo-dads! I like that, well put!
    I just slide my slip bobber on my line followed by a split shot and then a # 4 hook. I use a 4" piece of high vis blue fishing line and tie a tight double knot around my line at the depth you want it at and crimp off any excess line. It works for me sometimes up to a week with multiple casts. I cast a float a lot and it dose'nt get caught in my reel at all! It's very cheep to!
    A rubberband is an excellent choice as well!
