    Default Fuse Panel fire at lake house!!!!!!!


    AC junction box smoked at lake house. Stunk up the house. We had to come home anyway for a couple days. Hope electrician get the new one installed tomorrow. I am ready to get back on the water.

    We had a new ac installed last year. I asked if we needed a new panel. Installer said no. It is/was the old cartridge type fuses. Melt down. Coulda been worse I guess.

    Glad it wasn't any worse ,Tom.

    We recently replaced the box in my son's 50s era house and found lots of water leakage issues and oxidation from who knows how long ago. We felt fortunate we caught it when we did.

    Sorry to hear that Tom.....if there is anything I can do shoot me an PM.......I haven't forgotten you on getting those .22 CCI mini-mags to ya.....but this pain in the backside called work keeps getting in the way.....I will insure you get them one way or another......

    Sorry to hear ya had trouble. I replaced a fuse panel with a breaker box on an old house trailer my parents bought. It was a fire waiting to happen. I found about $.11 under the old fuses.
