Perchjerker, those are some monster crappies! I bet your son had a great time. Anyone would have with those monsters!

Looks like both the kid and fish are of superb quality. Nice going on both counts.
Nice Slabs. What kind of crankbaits were you using? Would love to catch me a mess of those.
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
All of our fish came on number 5 Glass Shad Raps, citrus, pech and crawdad. The citrus rocked when the sun was high and the perch did better on low light conditions. The further we could run the boards out the better they did.Wish I had brought a third set of boards, as our two 12 footers at the boat didnt catch a single keeper in the tournament.pj
Ihave never trolled with crank baits before so what do you mean by boards?
How deep will the Shad Raps run with 50 foot of line?

I don't understand what you mean by boards, could you explain? i have never trolled crankbaits either.
I think he may mean planer boards. Some trollers use planer boards to get the crankbaits to run a good distance to the sides of the boat.
These are some.Originally Posted by Kenlake slab
