    Default Boat Insurance deductable

I had Progressive insurance on my boat, deduct was $250 for boat and $100 for contents. Got a letter from Progressive that my detectable would be $1250, if by boat was damaged due to a named storm or hurricane. 5x the normal deductible, so I dropped them like a hot potato. Thought that's was a crock to me. Any one else run into this from the insurance company. Thks

I have not but I know that a lot of companies have done a lot of changing of policies in states that could be hit with ( named storms ) because of all the claims in the last few years.

Were with Auto Owners and I pay $125. It probably depends on the boat and the part of the country your in. No hurricanes in MI.
