Default learned that a finesse worm catch panfish as well as bass!

Since I've been making my own minnows and catching loads of fish on them, I decided to make a slim finesse worm and hang it on a 1/32 oz jig with #6 hook for the most action at the slowest retrieve.

I started out with a green pumpkin color with purple and green flake and caught crappie of all sizes, white perch, small bass and sunfish. I changed to the white worm pictured and did as well - even on the smallest of fish.

Maybe the lesson to be learned is that a finesse action in a slim bait - even one 3" long - is as likely to get bit as one only 1.5" -2".

Surprising is that even the smaller fish attacked the lure from the front and hooked themselves on that small hook! Normally I would have used a #4 hook, but it made no difference and the entire bait was inhaled in many of the medium to large fish.

That worm can sure wiggle! Will definitely be making more.
