    Are you using braid??
I hate braid. It is really hard to tie and I never do a very good job

The Palomar knot is what I use most of the time. On fishing line when you get ready to pull the knot tight put some spit on the line to lube it so you don't burn the line. I also pull the small line end tight first then give the main line a good pull. This will keep the line straight at the hook.

Here is the knot I use for crappie jigs most of the time.

X2 on spittin on the line. Also I got a bad batch of line not long ago. 6 lb line would break at 2.5 lbs. The manufacturer is working to fix the problem. Between the guys that work with me, we had 12 bad spools. If you have any doubt PM me and I will tell you what brand it was. Dont think I need to post it here

Palomar knot hands down the fastest and bet knot I've ever used.

Palomar has a better than 95% strength retention at the knot. That's the one I use!

Ditto. That palomar knot will not come loose. I now use something kin to that Huckabee in the video but with two loops instead of three. I have no knot problems and the jig has more freedom to move. I think I get a few more bites than my partners due to the freedom of motion.
I also use it when minnow fishing because it is so fast to tie.
