Default Two days on the Grand of Truman, move move and move some more.

Nice weekend on the Grand. Yesterday, down from BS, fished a flat, when I found them, several were caught, other than that, dink city. Today went up and fished a favorite spot of mine. Two poles in hand due to light bite the day before. Slow trolled through a stump field, bite was either a slam or a soft tick... more soft tick than slam. When I caught one, stayed put, be patient, hard for me, and more to come. Boated a nice limit. Naked red hook, 1/6oz lead 8" above, minnow, that was my only working combo. Tried jigs, and that pole felt no love. Back to red hook. Find that shad ball around good clump of cover and there are some pigs.... PIGS.... PIGS.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

Nice report. I did catch a few on jig but minnow was definitely better bite. Congrats

WTG great to hear about some fish being caught

Nice job. There is plenty of shad out there keeping them full.
