Old Ship went to the Coosa River for a charity Spotted Bass fishing tournament. Funds raised were to benefit a family struck by fire. I wore my c.com shirt to represent us all. Caught six spotted bass like this in about two hours. All had to fish from shore and all had to teach what they were doing while they were fishing. Had fun but I would rather been crappie fishing. I was using a sparkle teardrop because it was so sunny and a money fry minnow.

The winners were the victims from the fire and those who listened to us old geezers try and teach them a little somethin somethin about fishin. My competitive fishing days ended when I turned 40. The last 28 years have been about chilling out on the water and enjoying fishing for crappie my friend. My official weight was 9.8 lbs for seven fish all Spotted Bass and this was my "Official" weigh in photo.

Excellent job on the green fish. And a great cause to boot. You can crappie fish anytime.

Amen brother. Gonna try and find a couple hours next week to go chase some Crappie. Might go to Guntersville or Weiss Lake. Depends on weddings and funerals. I'll take honey with me and escape honey do time for about two hours or so. LOL
