Nice looking fish, shame about the pole. By the smiles, I take it a good time was had? Thanks for sharing.
I know I don't visit this forum nearly enough, but I just realized that I've been crappie fishing more times than bass fishing this year. I NEVER thought they would happen. Started the year with a 2nd place in a bass tourney then a 3rd place in crappie tourney the next day - say that to say im fairly efficient of a bass fisherman. Then went spring time for bass early, couldn't get them to open their mouths, but caught some really nice crappie instead. As the trips went by, I found myself switching to crappie earlier and earlier. The last 4 trips have only netted about 1.5 hours of bass fishing - the rest were all about the crappie. Took my wife out on labor day and that's all we tried for. Starting to really appreciate the fish.
Here are picts from labor day... the one crappie broke my second favorite pole. And the one my wife is holding tried to slap her in the face just before the camera went off.

Look's like a fun day on the water.
It had to be the fish on her left that tried to slap her.
