Default Trolling for Crappie with Crankbaits

The idea of using Crankbaits for trolling for Crappie has caught my attention. For those of you who troll for Crappie using Crankbaits I have a some questions:

What size(s) do you use? I see some very small crankbaits on the shevles of stores. Do you use these or several different sizes?

Do you buy in stores or can you order on line more economically? Any particular brand name that you feel are better than others?

When and where do use use crankbaits? Time of year? What part of the lake? How much line do you let out?

How many do you troll at one time?

Any good articles you can refer me to would be appreciated.

Thanks for your comments as I am just scratching the surface on this strategy.
