    my buddie's and i are having a heated discussion and was hoping you fellas could help out,,, what kind of bass is this? thank's a bunch!

    why do today what you can put off til tomorrow, go fishing instead!!!

    That looks like a hybrid and a very plump one at that. You can easily tell from the picture because there's a hump as if it had a forehead and the anal fin is rounded.

    In my lakes I have striped bass, white bass, and hybrids. The fish in that pic would be a white bass all the way. Hybrids do not have distinct stripes like that one they are broken up. Stripers are not that deep bodied. I'd bet a paycheck on white bass!

    White. Wiper stripes are erratic and stagger.

    Nice white bass. 1 stripe from gills to tail, 1 tooth patch on back of tongue and seperated dorsals. Just needs the 3 F's applied to it.......Filet, flower and fry!

    I say it's a Ford!! Very seldom is there a consensus on fish identity. Looks awful big for a white bass, at least from what I have seen. Usually they are deeper bodied from my experience. I am far from an expert though.
