I looked up sunglasses on the internet. Now I get all kind of pop ups or ads for sunglasses.
I recently made a post in the Alabama forums titled dentist. Since then I have noticed that on every website I go to on my phone there's an ad for dentist discount card on every page. That is definitely proof that someone is tracking what you're talking about.
I'm not a black helicopter guy but it makes me very uneasy.

It's the Google ads/search connection on the website. There isn't much on the internet that doesn't have tracking cookies, used to put advertisements in your face based on what keywords you say (type) or sites you look at.

Until we were made aware of the tracking by the leaker, most of us really didn't pay much attention. Now, I'm seeing the same thing on everything
except my email account. Never had a spam or ad regarding anything of any type. I use Reagan.com email because gmail got to be more than I could
put up with. Wife uses Verizon.net and she gets 100's of spam everyday. $40.00 per year ain't that bad when you hate spam. I go through DuckDuckGo
when searching the web. Helps some but not 100%.

It's content specific ads, done by google and any other ad program. Yes, if you view a page about balloons, and you'll get ads about balloons. And it'll keep those ads running for a bit. It only makes sense, and it really is the right way to do it. Why would you want to see ads about something you are not interested in. And yeah, you might not want ads at all, but the only way for me to run the website is to use Google Ads. The google ad program is actually very "stand up". They do not allow their ads on any sites that are not family friendly. No porn sites, no hacking sites, no sites with profanity. Actually a perfect fit for Crappie.com.
No pom sites? Jes, i love those dogs.
