Default My New Gander Mountain Rod

    Hi,

Have received such good help here in the past, thought it would be only right to
    also offer something.

I have a "pricey" 7 foot St. Croix ultra-light spinning that I broke the tip off of.
Great rod for Crappie, but hooked onto a Chain Pickeral, wow, and that was just too much for my ultra-light.

While they are repairing it, I thought I would try to find a really cheap rod, a bit heavier, that I can use in the meantime.

St. Croix is very nice to deal with, nice folks, but their time to repair isn't the speediest, apparently.

Well, I just got a rod from Gander Mountain, and what a pleasant surprise. (Med-Light, 2 piece, 7 foot)
    Really, really, nice.

ONLY $24.00 ! Rod is called "Advantage"

Very nicely finished, nice cork, handle etc. Guides look decent enough.

    Can't believe the price.
IM6, not the latest graphites, but so what.

Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone is looking for some "cheap" rods.

I expect to get another one or two in different weights.

    Bob

Thanks, I go past Gander Mtn every week. I have found
in the past that they are really expensive, but may check
    out the rod.
