Default Reel recomendation for a 13' BnM Black Widow?

Picked up my first telescoping long rod and was looking for a reel recommendation. I normally fish a 7' light action with a spincast from my kayak, but wanted to try something different. I'll probably use it for mostly shore fishing for crappie and bream.

I know the reel is not used for casting, just a line holder, so how about the Mr Crappie Solo? Should I try a 6-8lb braided or 4-6lb mono? I'll be using mostly 1/16 jigs and the ocassional live bait.

    Any opinions are appreciated.

    Thanks.

That 13 black widow is going to get awful heavy trying to jig with it. I would suggest that if it's possible go to a store where you can try different reels on it. You are really going to want a reel that will balance the pole in your hand. Probably going to take something a little heavier than the Solo. Though it looks like that Solo is going to be one heck of a jigging reel. I use braid a lot but think mono works a little better for jiging.
