Got a chance to go fishing yesterday morning, I got on the lake at 5:30 am and fished till 9am.
Man was it hot and about the only time they would bite is when some clouds moved in front
of the Sun.They were at one of my favorite honey holes in the lake, the overflow pipe by the dam.

My water temp was 86.4. my cleaning is mounted high enough so I don't have to bend over and the white container you see slides in and out on some wood rails I built, clean a fish, slide it out and and in goes the carcass.

Any cleaning station I don't have to bend over is a cleaning station that sends a tingle up my leg. :Rofl And, that table looks like a copy could be made
rather easily, unless you have a patent on it. Great post and appreciate the photos.

Is that an electric filet knife?? Isn't that cheating? :+) Nice batch of fish, well done. Always nice to have a go-to place like that. Just wanted to say, my brother and you may have crossed paths sometime in your days of service to our great country. He did his flight training at Ft. Rucker Alabama. Not sure of his company or time of deployment though, I was too young to remember that stuff. Thanks for your service Blackhawk19.

It started as a 2'x3' 3/4" piece of exterior plywood, i cut 6" of for the backboard and covered it with 88 cent self adhesive tile from Lowe's. Found a plastic container with lips where the lid fastened to it, offset two strips of wood for the tracks. ran the water out of the shop and put a longer hose on a faucet
sprayer so it's easier to clean the ice chest and the cleaning area. Just mounted on 2 shelve brackets. Oh I have no Patent:Rofl

Nice catch, I also like to leave the skin my fish sometimes. I think the bones and skin add a nice flavor in my opinion. Nice cleaning station also.

My unit was stationed in Tay Ninh right on the Cambodia border. We supported the 25th Inf 4th of the 9th Manchus. Worked mostly in the Hobo Woods and the Iron Triangle and Cambodia. OH, I'm sorry I forgot we didn't go into Cambodia till 1970. We did fly for the 9th sometimes and I have a good friend named Bob Carlisle who was with them and lost both his legs in 68.

Blackhawk,
Sounds like you were in some of my locations over there. I might have been in your chopper, not for sure. You guys saved us a lot of steps and sure enough saved a lot of lives. THANKS A LOT! I'll be at the shindig this year at Kentucky Lake. Look me up if you're there. I'll be wearing a Vietnam 9th Infantry hat! Ha

The only two things I remember clearly are, when he pulled out from our driveway to leave for his deployment, my father collapsed to his knees crying like a baby. That is the first time I seen my father cry and the last time. The second thing is he told us after he was home safe and sound is the very first mission they went out on his best friend and best man in his wedding was blown up in the air right in front of his Huey. He said right then and there that this was serious stuff and would take all of his skill and luck to get back home. He was shot down 3 times and survived without a scratch while often losing some other members of the crew. When he returned home and did his stint as an instructor at Ft Rucker, he said it was scarier than Nam! He died in 1971 in a fixed wing crash while working on getting a friend his pilots license. Hard to find the sense in any of it. To survive war and die in a needless plane crash. Sorry for the hi-jack. Just feels better to vent a little about being cheated out of my big brother.

Sorry to hear about your brother. Sometimes things that happen like that just don't make any sense to us.
Sometimes it helps to talk about it.

Congrats on the catch. I couldn't help but see that soft plastic bait and it sure looks a lot like a Slab Bandit (I am sure it's not) color I just got that was a special run. Is this one chart and gold glitter? I know the one I have just put in my bag is that color so was wondering if this one is the same color? I guess it's just the glitter in question for me.
