Default Wally Marshall Signature Series Crappie Reel

Mr. Crappie Wally Marshall Signature Series Crappie Reel : Cabela's

Has anyone tried these reels by Wally Marshall? Looking to buy a few, unfortunately I am currently in Afghanistan and like to look at/handle the product I am going to buy. Is this a line holder or an actual reel? I hate the clicking sound of the other reels in this category? I'll go by y'all's testimony. Thanks.

I have not personally used one, but I have a friend that uses these reels when he pushes jigs/minnows and he really likes them. I don't know any other particulars other than that. If they work as good as the Jiggin' Reel and the WMS Spinning reels Wally has, it should be a nice reel!!

    MAC,
I just recently won just the reel you are asking about. I haven't put it to use yet so all I can tell you is what I see. First off, it's a nice looking reel and has the looks of a real real not a plastic imitation. It has a star drag, a clicker that can be turned on and off and there is a spool tensioner. It looks and feel nice in hand and would probably make a good spider rig or pulling reel. I know this was not much info and not experience in the field info but I hope it helps in some way.
    Thanks for serving,

I believe I saw a review of these reels on this board so if you look a couple pages farther you may find that thread.

    Thank you for your service!

If I were gonna do something along these lines I would keep an eye on this website, they have factory refurbs all along for 25 bucks or so and you would have the much wanted thumb bar for your line release. Not any on there rite now but it changes all the time. Good luck, whether in the sevirce or not pray you have a safe return home.

The reviews on Calbelas were mixed. I have searched for other reviews but could not find any. I'll more than likely pull the trigger and get two of them to go with the 16' Capps and Coleman Rods I bought off of here. Can't wait to try out the new set up when I get back.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words about my deployment, I should be home mid in a few months just in time for the Fall bite in AZ.
