    Default keeping fish alive?

Well I'm getting ready to head out for Grenada and going over my check list. It was suggested I get some of the additive for my live well to help keep my 7 HAWGS!!! alive. Have any of you guys used the stuff before and does it work?

I have used additives for my minnows and it seemed to help for me.if nothing else it removes the amonia from the water and that will kill them pretty fast. if you have a good livewell with a pump they should last awhile aslong as the water does not get to warm

Just a touch of Rejuvenade work well. The best thing you can do is keep them only a little cooler than the water they came from and air. If you can't give them air, I'd certainly give them fresh water frequently to keep the oxygen level up. Keep a couple extras in case one dies on you.

I use an aerator you can simply plug up to a 12 volt battery. Sorry I can't find a link or a picture of one, but look at Wal-Mart for a "Fish Saver" and they will keep fish alive. It's not a bad idea to lay a bag of ice on the water as well but DO NOT open the bag because the chlorine in that water will kill the fish. I have kept fish alive from a lake 2 hours from my house a couple of times and didn't lose any fish.

I freeze a few ziplock bags of water and add them as needed. just like a big ice cube. we have well water, so mine won't hurt the fish.

I've used the catch and release stuff from Bass Pro - I can tell you :D

if you get carried away with it in a 150 qt. cooler with a strong aerator,

it will foam up like soap suds when that happened, I think it was a

lot worse than nothing at all. I guess a little dab will do ya.
