Where would you guys start spider rigging in these areas?
What time of year?
Where would you fish for spawning fish? When?

edge of the channels, all times of year, except for spawn, then its time to put up the spider, and go to the brush

When you say edge of channels, do you mean the main river channel? And by the edge, do you mean in the shallow part close to the deep river channel?

transitionareas, top or bottom. Any old channel, creek, river, whatever. Look for brush along the tops and bottoms of the drop-offs.
