"The worst mistake we all make, and I'm guilty too, is fishing too fast. We pick up the cast too fast; we retrieve too fast; we move along the shoreline too fast. I know from experience that even a little action in a given area means that fish are indeed there and my best strategy on a slow day is to remain at that location. Unfortunately, few of us have the self-discipline to do this even though we know that running all over the lake or spending the day driving from pond to pond won't help anything other than to vent our frustrations."

Love, what more can I say
As stated before, I posted the daily fishing quotes while I was filling in for another angler on another board and posted some here. The last day was 10/2. Sorry I can't do them daily but I might put some up from time to time as I run across them. Thanks for the interest in them . I don't think I have enough books and material to draw from to do it on a daily basis anyway. Maybe somebody who does have a lot of books and material will step up to the plate and post fishing quotes for us regularly. Well, the quotes could be daily, could be weekly, or monthly depending on who is willing (has the time) and able (has the resources).

Would you post a link to the other Board that you write for? (or did I miss it?). I enjoy your articles and reports.
Thanks,
Dave
Hi Dave,
I don't write for the other board but I do post from time to time like here and on the FAOL Bulletin Board. I do post Highlands Today newspaper fishing reports along with my own when those newspaper fishing reports are available from http://highlandstoday.com/ . I was just filling in for another angler who does daily quotes. Maybe you've heard of him from FAOL, his name is Rick Zieger from Iowa and Rick does articles for FAOL also in the Panfish and sometimes the Warm Water Feature sections. He also does the quotes for the Warm Water Forum on the FAOL Bulletin Board. Its an old warmwater fly angling board on Yahoo groups called WarmwaterAngler. It was the first board I ever joined and is probably older than any other warmwater board on the web that I know of. Its more of a list board where just about any warmwater fly angling topic is posted. Here is the link but you have to register and be approved by the moderator Gary Miller from Texas. Don't pay any attention to when this board was "founded" in the group information box as this board was reconstituted from the original.
