glad you caught some, i have been there once on a sat afternoon not a pleasant time. i saw that you didn't get any help from the ill board
Since no one was able to offer any info the other day to my question about Kinkaid, let me make a report on my trip there on Thursday. The weather was spectacular ... what a beautiful day to be out on the lake. The lake is full from recent rains and the water is pretty clear. Not many boats out on Thursday ... about 10 trailers at Paul Ice ramp. Fishing was fair ... caught 9 crappie ... 2 at 12 inches, 2 at 11 inches and the other 5 at 10 inches ... plus two smaller bass and 5 bluegill ... and the crappie fillets were meaty/must be eating well. No particular pattern ... fished standing trees, drop offs, and what weed beds we could find. Caught most/best in coves in spillway/dam area off weed beds in about 8 feet of water. Best bait was a BPS "Bumble Bee" in black/green. All in all, it sure beats staying home and cutting the grass!
