Default Is it worth spider riggin' with only 4 poles?

Due to Ohio's 2 pole rule, I only ever have 4 poles in the water with my pops riding shotgun. I generally run (4) 14' poles covering about a 12' -16' spread double minnow rigged. Should I even bother? I see most of you on hear running 8 or 10 poles covering the same spread. There are times I'm running the bottom bait 25'+ deep to get fish. I'm curious to how effective I can actually be when the bite is on. Any insight would be great before I drop more money on a new SpyderLok or DriftMaster holder.

    Thanks in advance.

Four is fine. Lots of times I only fish 4 when alone, where rules allow.

Only running one pole is better than sitting at the house.

We have no pole limit, but I rarely fish more than 6 and usually down to 4 when they are biting good. Spread the double minnow/jigs rig father apart to help cover more water up and down. Oh, and, um, HiTek rod holders will make it easier too........

I run three at all times. Its all Iowa will allow with the special license. And when the bite is hot I don't want any more lol

You have to use 8 to spider rig.

6 is insect rigging, 4 is mammal rigging. LoL

i kinda stumbled onto that technique, using just two rods. It works fine with two, so four would work good as well.
