    Default Bait Tank Filter

just got a 30gal. keep alive tank only. want to put a filter on it and all Ive seen for ppl to use is 3inch or 4 inch pipe, was thinking of 2inch pipe and use a thru hull pump on the tank to the filter.
Filter media isnt a concern as ill use what i have from my canister filter for aquarium... So question is is 2inch pipe doable or not.. All input is appreciated ...

I would think it would work. Get a piece of pipe the size you are going to use. See if you can find some SS screen wire and some end pieces that are plastic female end with screw male ends. Place the female pieces on one end of the pipe. Cut and place your SS mesh one one end and screw the cap on with your hole drilled to connect your filter pipe on that end. Fill pipe with filter material. Place other adapter on other end and repeat wire and cap. This should make a good filter that will allow you to change your filter media as needed.
