Monday's SWPA prediction was for 1/2 - 3/4' per day with 709+ by Thursday. Per river gauges the Osage above Osceola looks to be running hard, I'd think it might beat SWPA's prediction by end of the week, love it.
How fast is Truman coming UP? I am figuring it should be rising fast with all this rain.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

What affect will this have on fishing at Truman?

I would imaginecatfishing will be great. Not so much for the crappie I wouldn't think. What do some of you local guys think about the crappie fishing prospects now with all this new water.
USACOE website says Truman is at 710.28 and rising.
Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then.......
Just retired this spring and got spot at truman so I could chase them crappie down there when I wanted.Darn. Haven't hardly came down at all due to the below average year and now this.
Oh well teal season here in illinois isnt to far away and squirrel hunting is good.
Hope to spend some serious time crappie fishing late September and October before regular duck season starts.
Hogster I dont know but im thinkn about going to shawnee and hoping to find a little more clearity in the water and hoping for the best. IT A CRAP SHOOT
Haven't checked out the lake in a day or so, but Grand River will likely be cleaner than you think. We haven't had near the rain around grand that they have had down south. The Osage is a muddy, trashy mess right now and all of it is headed towards the dam....just a thought.
