Few keepers

Cloudy, little breeze. Put in at Bucksaw and ran up to and through the "cut through", on up to the flats. Fished 10'-18' FOW dipping trees with a bare black jig with a minnow. 79.8° water temp. Caught 24 crappie off a tree row, all 4"-5", and one 6" channel cat. Got 2 keeper crappie, first was 12", second was 10".
Ran on up to another area, same deal, lotta shorts. Got 2 more keepers.
Sun came out and it got hot so I ran back to Bucksaw and put the Tracker on the trailer, headed home. I really LIKE that 60 Merc 4 stroke! Not fast, easy on gas.
White bass were really working the baitfish schools on top. May head back down and just fish whites.
Also ran across a couple CDC guys at the launch. Good dudes!

nice report, ran the boat, caught a few fish, had a good day, sweet. and speaking of the 60 merc, I know what your talking about, love mine, wish I could use it now, but I can wait a few more days. I found a big ole brush pile up by the cut last year, caught lots of 10 in fish off it, wonder if it is still there.
