    Default help with accesories

I have a 12 volt deep cycle battery and a 12 volt cranking battery on my boat.
I was wondering which accessory electronic should be connected to which battery or how yours are set up.
Boat is being used <8 hours between charges.
Here's the list of 12 volt accessory electronics:
    a. electric start gas motor (used to change position, no trolling) (connected to cranking battery)
    b. trolling motor (ran continuously, unless anchoring) (connected to deep cycle battery)
    c. 3 depth finders (2 ran continuously at a time)
    d. live well aerator pump (ran continuously)
    e. hand held gps charger outlet (continuously)
    f. live well water pump (used to fill live well once per trip)
    g. electric wench (never more than 6 minutes per trip)
    h. 3 bank battery charger
    i. bilge pump (have not used)
    j. bow and stern light (rarely used)
    k. 2 interior lights (rarely used)

    Thanks for the help.

The only thing hooked up to my deep cycle is the trolling motor. All the rest is on the cranking battery and I have about as much stuff on it as you do. Been that way for 6 yrs and never had a problem. Oh, I did have a problem one time when all the live wells and aerators were running at the same time for about 6hrs. I carry jumper cables and jump started off the deep cycle.

yep what pontaic said.........trolling batteries are only for trolling only. Everything else runs off the cranking battery and a set of cables is a must when the livewell pump kills the battery. I learned this the hard way just the other day........went straight to AutoZone and bought a cheap pair of jumpers!!

I'd agree with the setup as described above. And always have the jumper cables with you.

Yes, all hook up to the starting battery which gets charged while running and only the TM hooked up to that battery. I have 2 hughe batteries just for my TM. I do also use these batteries for my night fishing light since I don't need my TM at night.

There are some lakes that are trolling motor only. I'll throw a set of jumpers in the boat.
    Thanks for the help.
