    Default Lake recommendations? Central FL

    Hey folks,
Fairly new to the site and wanted to say hey to some fellow Floridians. This is my first year crappie fishing. While the bite is slower I've been working on my upgrades. Got a 2011 tracker 190 with a 90 merc. Just added the terrova with ipilot and an HB 898. Will be raiding Cumberland products next to set up long/tight lining.

The following are relatively nearby lakes to me:
    hatchineha
    cypress lake
    north end of kissimmee
    clermont chain of lakes
    johns lake, off 50
    crooked lake
    lake rosalie
and all the small lakes in Polk county including teneroc

Anyone have experience in this area or recommendations of good crappie lakes in the bunch?
    Thanks!

Wherebouts do you live in lake area you have mentioned.?

Kissimmee is always great year around, rosalie, hatchinaw, walk-in-water are also
    good year round.
In fact all lakes you mentioned are good.
Personally i do not fish Teneroc, (haven't for several years) its overhyped for
what is caught out of it - it being an FWC managed water shed does not really speak
well of what FWC management is trying to do and there are so really smart good
    people working for FWC.
By sounds of what you have for equipment you are more than well equipped to go
    looking for Ole Mr. Spec.
Are looking to fish for Spec's on weekend warrior style, recreational occassion or
    pro-am tournament style.
send me an e-mail and let me know.

Thanks for the welcome. My closest lake is Old Lake Davenport that doesn't seem to be that stocked, BUT it's my learning and practicing lake - pulled out some real nice gills and shellcrackers during May. Hatchineha and the connecting lakes are my next nearest ones that have some size. Will mostly be weekend angling as work and family permits. Just ordered some kalin grubs from Monks and hopefully will order some rod holders next week and give the ole longlining and crank pulling a shot in a week or two. That'll give me time to dial in the HB while waiting and do a little vertical jigging with it.

Don't do Cumberland rod holders, I have them and want to get rid of them. Very hard to adjust while rods are in the holder. I don't like the adjustment on the top, the rod always gets in the way. I recently purchased Elite Rod Holders for tightlining and they are the bomb! Adjustment on the bottom, no tools required, fully stainless. The website is eliterodholders.com I think. Welcome to the site as well.

I dont have the 360's, I have the normal ones, And they are junk.........The 360 does look like a better holder than the normal ones.

I was planning on the 360s with the extra bases for the front/back. I'll get the double seat set up after that. Anyone know if the drill free combo will work on the back of the boat. I imagine it would since its screwing into the existing 3/4" mount.

    Default Cumberlands

I think they are real good. Easy to adjust.
