I dont know a whole lot about what motors. The boat im looking at had the compression checked and it was 135 on all 6 cylinders... is that good?

    Its a 1994 Mariner 150.

That's good #s Corey. Make sure ya put it in the water and run it up on plane so as to see if the reed valves are good . If they aren't it will faultier bad coming out of the hole or wont plane out at all. Also watch water psi if it has a gauge. If not ask when the water pump was changed last and if over 2 years I would plan on ptting a new impellor in it before using it.

I think one of the keys during compression testing is that all cylinders be within a few psi of each other. Seems like this motor is right on in that regard

Sounds like great compression!!! You can get a new impeller for $25-$40 depending on your motor.

Specks correct but that is just the part. They are easy to put in if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. Otherwise a shop will charge ya about $300. I do my own in about 25-30 minutes and would talk ya through it or even meet ya and help if ya want.
