CRAWFORD COUNTY -Authorities say a 3-year-old boy died after apparently falling from a boat into a southern Indiana lake.
State conservation officers say Jayce Stallings from the Scott County community of Deputy had been wearing a lifejacket while swimming in Patoka Lake as several boats were anchored together. Those with the boy told officers that his lifejacket had been taken off inside the boat for him to warm up and that he was last seen sitting on a cooler along the boat's edge.
Divers found Jayce about an hour after he was noticed missing in the lake about 50 miles northwest of Louisville, Ky.
Officers say Jayce was pronounced dead at a hospital

What a shame. Prayers are with the family.
From Steve Wunderele - 10-2-84 --"A fishing trip maybe brief, but it's memories are endless."
I'm sorry for the family, but one should never remove the life jacket of a 3 year old while they're in a boat.
Roaming the banks of the Kankakee River and anywhere else fish might lurk.
May God be with the family.
