What did you order? Mine just quit after 5 years, looking to go big and bright.
Just a little FYI for anyone interested in lights for night fishing.
I have several of the Green lights including the following...
-The Aurora which is very well made and very bright for jyst 3 LEDs.
-The Original Fisherrmans Green Light a tube kind that is not even made any longer, but really bright.
-The Kind Bob Spare (Was member here and really nice guy) his is nice, but not as bright as either of the above ones.
-Now I just ordered one that is kind of blowing my mind and I have not even lit it up yet. It's made at least as well as the Aurora in my opinion, but is 4' long and has 960 LEDs. Oh my I bet this thing is by far the brightest one of all as long as the LEDs are like I think. This thing is made really well as they use a solid piece of Aluminum stock and cut grooves in the bar where they slide in circuit boards full of LEDs.
I use to either take my tube one since it's really bright or I take 2 Aurora lights and the one from Bob. I felt like the one from Bob just was not as bright as I wanted and could tell the difference in how many shad showed up and the winner always was the Tube one until now, but it still will need to prove it soon.
Here is a shot of my last time out using my Bulb type and you can see the baitfish thick as can be. I had to use the side of the boat to block the light because it's too bright.
Then a close up of the new one and you can see the double rows of LED's going the full 4' and there are 4 grooves from one end to the other.

I have the 2' version of the same light that you purchased and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. These lights are near bullet proof and brighter than anything else I have seen. Might want to take your sunglasses....lol. Best of luck to ya!!
That looks good Skip. On the few occasions I fish at night I still use the reel-lite made by Bob Spare (Bob #1). He died too soon and is missed by many.

There is a big difference in what type of LED that each guy uses to build there lights. Loomisled uses a XML Cree led, which is the best led on the market today. I would at least check out his site before I pulled the trigger on a new light.
i have one and love it, it's the brightest and the most well built light I ever used. And no I'm not in anyway affiliated with him. I'm just a guy who loves to fish and is trying to help y'all out. I've talks to this guy on the phone a few times, asking questions and picking his brain about his lights. Andy Loomis is a MIT graduate who really knows his stuff about lights, he got in to building lights because he also loves to fish at night and he fishes off shore and couldn't find a light that was bright or heave duty enough so he built one.

This is my light in action, we are fishing in 30 FOW and the light is about 10-12 foot down, as you can see its real bright and is doing its job like a champ,
The guy even told me if I was not satisfied and if it didnt blow the tube one I have out of the water I could return it. Would love to have known about this other one before I bought so I could check it out, but I didn't. However it can't be made any better than this one IMHO and I don't see the Lumins posted on his light other than the one for gigging and it was 3000 Lumins and my new light is at 4800 Lumins.
