Nice morning on Pomme

Beautiful morning on the water, light fog rolling off the water as the sun came up. Only ripples were from the crappie I was catching for the first 20 or 30 minutes. Felt sorry for my fishing buddy who over slept, but he needed the sleep. I fished about 2.5 hours and caught 40+ crappie off of a cluster of beds in 12fow. No real big fish, but three 12" black crappie and plenty of 10" to 11" fish. Threw back another limit of legal size fish. Hated to leave but the wind & boat traffic was picking up by 8:30. As I headed out of the cove I buzzed another group of my beds and there were fish suspended all around them too. Color didn't make much difference although everything I threw had a chartreuse tail. Wish you all good luck this weekend. I may have to take some kids or grandkids out tomorrow for a little while.

nice catch, my crappie club will be up your way next saturday i hope i can do as well as you did. i have to place one more time to get my plaque to my little brass tags for placing in the tournaments we have.
